For a long time, I wanted to fly trapeze. After a year of chatter, the Pumba girl counselors finally trapezed at I FLY on Long Island. Needless to say it was fantastic and frightening- a fantightening if you will.
As a kid, I never believed that I had the superpowers to fly. Instead I wanted to be unique, to have something about myself that made me feel as if I could brave the world, even separate from the world, because I was special.
But it's true that if you really want something to believe in, you have to let it out of you. It will go. Though at first, I was grasping the bars so tight my hands were red and achy, I was airborne.
