Making fun?

An important part of growing up is learning how to make your own fun. Often called the "make your own happiness" from the " no one else can make you happy" stream of advice. This I am finding to be true once again because despite hearing this, knowing this, and living this earlier in life it is now how it presents itself in another light that I am learning again. But what I am learning in particular is that you must do it in your own way. You can not make fun the way life someone else. When you were a kid, new toys and games were exhilarating. A good toy after the "new factor" was fun and a bad toy that could no longer make you happy was "boring" or you had outgrown. If you find that you do not have the money to walk into a toy store and buy yourself ( "a quote and unquote grown up")a new toy, then I say it again, make your own fun. Sometimes you have to start with what you knew as a child. Yes, No, Thank you, Please, I'm sorry.
What you knew was what you learned and you spent more time and energy on the how to make yourself happy. This link is a cool craft on how to make your own toy. Your elders told you don't make fun of someone else. But now after all these years you think don't make fun like anyone else either.
